Senses Fail Gets Heavy On New Song, Announces 2022 Album

Senses Fail just unveiled details for Hell is in your head, their new album which will be released next summer. A music video for the new song “I’m Sorry I’m Leaving You” has also just been released.

Hell is in your head is the eighth album by the New Jersey-based post-hardcore group, who last released If there is a light it will find you in 2018. This one, however, will be their debut with drummer Steve Carey, who replaced Chris Hornbrook the same year. He’s been in the saddle with Senses Fail for some time now, but he finally gets the chance to show his own talents when it comes to leaving a mark on the legacy of the veteran group.

Carey does exactly that on “I’m Sorry I’m Leaving You”, the third track on the new record, preceded by “Lush Rimbaugh” and “Death by Water” (with Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills). The drummer provides a steady bed of double kicks under the chorus, giving the song a perfectly heavy side that connects well with those tight rhythmic breaths earlier.

“I wrote this song about the constant struggle for a living from music and art. I constantly wait for everything to fail and disappear even after 20 years of career. At no point do I feel safe,” said singer Buddy Nielsen. of the last Hell is in your head offer.

“After having a child, the relationship with this way of life became more strained,” he continued, “Having to leave home and waste time with your child while hoping that what you are doing continues to support your family and remaining fulfilling is complicated. Continuing to improve and eliminate my own trauma in order to be a better father is the basis and purpose of the song. “

“The band has now become me and vice versa. I try to put myself on the map as a songwriter and as a complete musician, not just as a lyricist or singer. This is where I ‘had planned to go on the last three albums. As a touring entity, we’re still five people, but when it comes to writing it’s a solo vision as far as I want to take it Nielsen added.

Senses Fail, “I’m sorry I’m leaving” Lyrics

How long can I do this?
How much longer will someone care?
Because I’ve spent my whole life waiting
For the other shoe to disappear

I try my best to keep it together
So my girl never has to worry
I just wonder when this is all gonna blow in my face

And i’m sorry to leave
But I promise, I promise to always come home

everything would be easier
If I could just believe in God
But I prefer to bet
This eternity is the love I show my daughter

I tried to stay together
I even found a new therapist
It’s not my kid’s problem to clean up my mess
I promise my darling I’m doing my best

And i’m sorry to leave
But I promise, I promise to always come home

I’m sorry to be broken
I promise that I’ll be whole again

And I’m sorry
I try my best to stay together (I’m sorry)
I’m sorry
I try my best to stay together (I’m sorry)

And i’m sorry to leave
But I promise, I promise to always come home

I try my best to keep it together
So my girl never has to worry
I try my best to keep it together
So my girl never has to worry
