Secondhand Serenade to release new album “Just Because You Sing Loud” in 2022
Emo-Pop Rocker Secondhand Serenade (AKA John Vesely) is set to release a new album Just Because You Sing Loud in 2022 with their debut single ONE which premieres on November 12. The release of this new album will begin with a tour of the same name in 32 US cities from November 1.
He will be releasing singles regularly throughout the tour until the release of the new album, his first full-length project since 2017. The name of his album / tour stems from a unique confrontation Vesely had recently had. He and his wife recently moved into a temporary apartment pending completion of construction on their new home in Nashville. After a few months of a not-so-happy neighbor complaining about his songwriting sessions and knocking on the walls, Vesely woke up with an aggressive letter on his door complaining about the noise that boiled down to the statement “Just Because You Sing Loud Doesn That doesn’t mean it’s good “.
At first, the note was hurtful to Vesely as he had never experienced this kind of pushback from neighbors in the past. However, he quickly turned the letter into a form of inspiration for his next album. Now the letter remains framed on a wall in her studio, a reminder that any negativity in life can be turned into something positive.
When asked about his upcoming album / tour Just Because You Sing Loud, Secondhand Serenade said, “To say I’m excited to be back on the road is an understatement. I also worked hard to finish this next album, which is a total return to my roots. So it should be really fun adding some of these new songs to the set and seeing the first reactions in real time. We’re definitely ending 2021 on a high note! “
In the early days of social media, there were no classes, no classes, no gurus to help musicians build a fan base. Yet in the mid-2000s, Secondhand Serenade used his hard work and determination to connect with fans online and build a community of followers, which saw the Bay Area resident reach # 1. artist unsigned on MySpace after the release of his first album. , Awake.
He would later reissue the acoustic project as the first artist to sign with the now famous Glassnote Records. Vesely followed that up with his 2008 Danny Lohner-produced album, A Twist In My Story, which would propel the emo-pop songwriter to the top of the charts. The main single, partly piano ballad and partly pop-rock titled “Fall For You”, would solidify the first great success of the artist and the young label, securing its place in the top 5 of American radio, finally passing to 3 times platinum.
International tours, late-night shows and awards appearances became the new normal for the singer-songwriter who was quickly becoming the voice of the emo generation. Fast forward to a post-pandemic life and Secondhand Serenade is now preparing another full album as well as a headlining nationwide tour. The timing couldn’t be better with a resurgence of the emo scene and a new project worth material rolling out over the next few months.
