Multiverse Of Madness action figure reveals Doctor Strange’s luxurious ponytail
Following his appearance in “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, the former Sorcerer Supreme is preparing for a new adventure in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” later this year. In anticipation of the next chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the film’s merchandise is already in the works. Particularly impressive is the line of Marvel Legends action figures for Benedict Cumberbatch’s second star as The Good Doctor. But it was the exclusive Target Defender Strange figure that stood out. The magical Avenger wears a red and black outfit with a new goatee style and Reed Richards-style white strands in his hair. However, there was one detail that was not seen when the toy was unveiled.
New ready-made images of the action figure have surfaced on Twitter along with the illustration on the back of the package. And to our surprise and delight, these images show Strange’s luxurious new ponytail… or maybe it’s one of his multiverse variations. Check them out for yourself and enjoy the glory.

It’s currently unclear when and how this look will play out in Sam Raimi’s upcoming film. We’re not going to say that the ponytail is the source of Doctor Strange’s power now that he’s no longer wielding the Time Stone, but no one has said that either is. Or maybe he was enchanted by some sort of unfathomable magic that only wizards of his caliber can use. Until we get official confirmation of all of this, we’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, you can pre-order the Target-exclusive Defender Strange right now.
“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Xochitl Gomez, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Benedict Wong, hits theaters on May 6, 2022.
