Goth Rock Pioneer Bauhaus to perform at Kings Theater on 11/2
English gothic rock band Bauhaus will perform at the Kings Theater in Brooklyn on Tuesday, November 2. Tickets will go on presale on Thursday, June 17 at 10:00 a.m. and go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 18. On the day of the concert, the doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the show scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m.
The Bauhaus, formed in 1978, is one of the pioneering figures of Gothic rock. Their first single, “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” was a hallmark of Gothic rock and remained on the UK independent charts for years. The general success of the Bauhaus came in 1982 after their third album, The sky is extinguished peaked at number 4 in the UK. The band eventually broke up in 1984 – although they briefly reformed in 2008 to release their fifth album – and haven’t toured in over a decade.
The Brooklyn Kings Theater show is one of five Bauhaus shows scheduled for 2021 and 2022. It may be one of the last times the Bauhaus has performed together, so if you want the chance to see the Gothic rock icons of the 80s in concert, this is a great opportunity.
UPDATE (6/28): Bauhaus added a second show in New York at the Kings Theater on November 3. Tickets for the show go on sale June 30.
