Deafheaven Shares New Song “The Gnashing”, Announces 2022 Tour

deafness recently shared “Great Mass of Color”, the excellent lead single from their awaited fifth album Infinite granite, and he found that the shoegazy metal band leaned more towards their shoegaze side than ever before and embraced a style that was almost entirely sung cleanly for the first time in their ten-year career. Now, they’ve released a second single from the album, “The Gnashing,” and it’s cut from the same fabric. This is another excellent one too, and further proof that Deafheaven is just as good at melodic shoegaze as it is with screeching black metal. Listen below.

Along with the release of the new song, a tour announcement for 2022, which begins in Phoenix in February, ends in Treefort Music Festival, and also includes shows in Austin, DC, Philly, Brooklyn, Boston, Chicago, Denver, and more.

Brooklyn show is coming March 8 in Warsaw. Tickets for this show (and the entire tour) will go on sale Friday (7/9) at 10 a.m. local time.

Ahead of the 2022 tour, Deafheaven will perform in Berkeley and LA in October. All dates are listed below.

We also have a couple Deaf ear discs available in our store: the remastered vinyl pressing of their demo 2010 and their live-in-studio 2020 album 10 years ago.
